I'll skip on it. Crysis is due out soon, and I just started playing STALKER.

To the lad who said the Orange Box/Half-Life was better: go away. Half-Life is on the bottom of the list of quality games. Right there with Halo.

you serious? you must not play many fps's. i play almost all of them, so i know whats really good. and someone said halo is on the bottom list of quality games?? are you kidding?

I'm still out on the ropes on COD4 tbh... I haven't really liked the previous COD games' multiplayer and the single player story has always been good but always run of the mill and never really memorable. On the other hand, the change of era is great.
It's one of the few games where I haven't decided whether to buy it or not before the release date.

yeah, Halo is on the bottom of my list. Right next to Half-Life 1/2, and Counter Strike. Way too arcade'ish.

From what i have seen of CoD4, it looks to be pretty decent. I'll wait for the reviews, though. I don't like hype/hyped up games. The exception being Crysis because the AI's IQ is actually above 100. Heh. That and I played the Demo, and it was pretty decent. Sure, my fps was like 20, but hay! My cpu is also like 4 years old. ha ha.

I think CoD 4 probably won't do as good as the first one. Sure they changed the environment around but what about the AI, or online modes? Nothing new is added into CoD 4 other than it is taking place in modern era! It's like sequels.. they do run out of excitment from time to time. Case in point... Halo series, or look at the movie such as Pirate of Caribbean series!

I'll wait on the review but I won't be surprise if it gotten 8.0 or less from different review sites! Crysis... I might get it but it reminds me of Far Cry too much! Hopefully Crysis won't have that DUMB checkpoint/save system from Far Cry!

No, he isn't kidding. Valve makes basically the best FPS of all time. Call of Duty 4 is amazing, but it isn't Gordon Freeman. Only thing that can compete with Gordon Freeman is Unreal 3 and Crysis. GG.

Seeing as I love the series(save COD3, someone else made that game, and it failed massively) I'm picking it up tomorrow. After that I'll get the orange box. Also, Crysis and UT3 do not hold a candle to the half life OR the cod series. MAYBE when UT was in its infant stages, like the original, but now... not so much.

One of the main reasons I'm getting this is it will most likely be the closest thing to Counterstrike: Source I will get on a console.

got it today. amazing. some of the battles left me in awe and ive only done the first 6 or 7 missions.

the online part took some getting used to, but after getting the hang of it i started to like it more. one thing.. no online co-op? an no achievements specifically for online play? wsup wit that?

and on the half life / halo / cod4 thing, half life does have classic games no question. but as far as online play, they arent f*ckin wit halo. period. and before you say tf2 blah blah think before you type.

btw firearms on hl1 used to be my favorite game (memories).

FPS on console is a lie! Well unless you can use usb mouse and keyboard. Auto aiming is also a lie!

Man, CoD4 is gonna be so awesome, the demo is just great. Never play the 3rd one and I'm rather happy that the forth one is not a WWII setting anymore.
